Southwest Montana is host to one of the most unique mountain ranges in the state. The Madison mountain range is home to the Taylor Hilgard unit of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, where S&W Outfitters conducts its Wolf and Corral Creek Camps. These rifle elk hunts are as real as it gets for the sportsman in search of fair chase elk hunting, on their turf. The area is abundant with elk as it is one of the largest elk herds in our state. The Wolf Creek drainage is also one of the states lowest impacted areas as access is very limited, and the elk know this. Running high success rates for the individuals prepared for this type of experience, licenses are easy to obtain for $809. Good physical shape, horse skills and shooting ability are a must.
